Tax Identification Number (EIN)

Also known as an EIN, 95 Number, or Tax I.D. Number, a federal Tax Identification Number is necessary when an applicant:

  • creates a new business
  • hires new employees
  • converts the type of their organization
  • purchases an ongoing business
  • creates a trust or pension plan
  • opens a bank account
  • acts as a withholding agent for taxes

The process begins with the filing of a IRS Form SS-4. Simply fill out the form on the right to get started.
